The Old Man

The old man sat upon his throne
Atop the mountain grand
The leaves of autumn red and gold
Dressed up his forest land

He looked upon his kingdom fair
His eyes missed not a thing
The animals and birds therein
Looked up to him to sing

He ruled his land with kindness
With justice and with grace
It was not hard to see his smile
Upon his rocky face

And 'tho you can not see him now
You know that he's still there
The mountains of New Hampshire
Are still under his care
